In honor of Russia’s new war with Georgia The Country, here are a couple of interesting American propaganda posters I stumbled across recently. I guess I didn’t remember them quite right, and they seem a little wrong to me, but I suppose it was a different time back then.

The great thing about the Uncle Sam poster is that it’s just so goddamn easy to make up hilarious stuff for it. The bad thing is that quite a few things you make up for it, chances are good that someone else has already thought of it.
Here’s an odd magazine I came across on the newsstands today:

So I saw a “NEVER FORGET 9/11″ sticker on a car today, and I got thinking: are those stickers really necessary? I mean, we’re talking about the most significant event in recent U.S. history. I don’t think we’re really in any danger of forgetting any time soon.
I’m going to start putting this sticker all over my car (well, at least the parts of my car that aren’t completely covered with plastic american flags and colored ribbons that show just how enlightened I am because I pretend to care about so many diverse causes):

That shit never gets the attention it deserves.
I’m shocked - SHOCKED - that there has not been an action movie set on Valentine’s Day where Bruce Willis says that to the villain before ripping his heart out and sending it to his girlfriend in a chocolate box.
I haven’t busted out the Photoshop in a while, so here’s a nice V-Day-themed picture for you’s:

You know there’s some dude at the factory thinking that all the goddamn time. (Original photo by Lin Pernille)
Recently I softmodded my old XBox and stuck XBMC on it, and I must say it was very easy and it r0×0rs. And now that I kajiggered all of my computers to connect wirelessly and still be on the same subnet, I can stream music, videos, and pictures and get movie trailers, youtube, and weather information from my bedroom television (which isn’t hooked up to the cable). So basically, it’s pretty effing sweet, and I highly recommend it. Although, it was a little pointless since I’m very rarely in my bedroom when I’m not sleeping. But it’s still fun.
THIS IS THE END
